The new holiday catalog from Hero Arts is out today and I’m so happy to be part of a blog hop to share ideas and inspiration! I’m using a gorgeous Tree Pattern Cover Plate die and got a two-for-one out of the process!

A simple wash of color onto some Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock was the key and then I popped up all those little trees while they were still held in place with the negative of the cardstock.
Here is my video showing you how I created the cards:
Even though it takes some time to place all of the little foam squares, the results are worth it!

I love having the negative space to create a card, as well! I just cut an extra layer out of white cardstock and glued it to the blended panel for a little dimension!

GIVEAWAY:
Hero Arts be giving away two $50 gift cards, drawn from the comments left along the hop. Comment on all the blogs for more chances to win! You have until Thursday, August 31 at 11:59pm to enter. The winners will be announced on the Hero Arts blog.
