Unboxing the October Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp and making six card

Today I’m sharing my unboxing video and six cards created the the Put Your Party Hats On card kit, the October 2023 kit from Simon Says Stamp.

Let’s start first with the unboxing and card make video!

Let’s take a closer look at the cards.

This is such a simple design but I tell you what: when you have gorgeous patterned paper like this Rainbow Twirl Paper Pack from Paper Rose, you don’t need much else! Clean and simple!

For Card Two, another clean and simple design featuring the sweet Swiss Dot Embossing Folder and the Put Your Party Hats on stamp set. Note: there are coordinating dies available for this set as well.

A little repetition of simple shapes is all that is needed for a happy little card! And that texture!

For Card Three, I had to make a shaker!

While this is arguably the most complex of the six cards, it’s also the most fun! I absolutely love the Rainbow Wheel Polymer Clay shaker fill. And again, the patterned paper makes the perfect panel!

Next up, another patterned paper design! I used the Simon Says Stamp Domed Arches Dies to create a simple window and stamped and embossed my greeting on some of the Royal Purple cardstock.

And I wasn’t done with the patterned paper yet! I love how the next card turned out.

I loved being able to find a simple way to use the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Word Tags. And a bit of spattered ink on the note card was the perfect finishing touch.

And last but not least, I wanted to make a card to work in the final components in the kit.

How cool is that Swiss Dot folder texture on the metallic cardstock? Such a fantastic kit!
