Let’s unbox the latest card kit from Simon Says Stamp and make five cards!

It’s kit unboxing day! And that means I have the September 2024 Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp ready to share with you! See-through cards… 5 x 7s… and a stamp set that I designed? You betcha. Here’s the video to get us started:

The kit is called Chunky Thankful Greetings and here is a peek at the contents:

Card One was so different for me… a see-through card! But how cool is it to have a small greeting hidden behind the Rose-Winged Butterfly Die?

For Card Two, I wanted to show you how simple the layered floral images from the Chunky Thankful Greetings Stamp Set can be used for a clean and elegant card project.

I absolutely love the Northern Lights Sequin mix from the kit.

For Card Three, I created a monochromatic design using the fabulous Butterfly Burst Embossing Folder. I love how simple this looks with just a lone white butterfly and a simple ‘for you” greeting.

For Card Four, I had to go big and make a 5 x 7. The “Thankful” stamp on this set is large, and I thought it needed a bigger canvas!

I do have the coordinating Chunky Thankful Dies, which I used to cut out my florals for this card, along with the greetings on all of my cards today. While the die set is not included in the kit, subscribers can add it as an add-on before their kits ships if they do before the 15th of each month.

And finally, for Card Five, I used one of the white tags from the kit as the basis for my design. I don’t think I’ve ever used this type of rectangle with a slanted top shape on any card I’ve made before.

For me, the Simon Says Stamp Card Kits are all about play and experimentation! I fully believe that these kits have broadened my cardmaking horizons and helped me to try designs and styles I’d previously thought were not in my wheelhouse. I hope it can do the same for you.
