I had a house fire a couple of years ago, and a few years before that was on alert to evacuate due to fire in our area, so I understand a bit of what these folks are going through. It is a stressful nightmare for a long time to say the least. I hope we can all step up and help as much as possible. I appreciate the safe way of donating with your live. The winds have died down at the moment but a lot of us are still on edge and watching our phones for new fire warnings. The winds were some of the worst that we have seen.     Thank you for doing this fundraiser. I don’t live in L.A., but I work there. So much devastation. Friends and colleagues were evacuated. As far as I know, none lost their home, although they have friends or family who did. I teach at a university in L.A. and school starts next week — we have no idea how many of our students have been impacted. It’s awful. So thank you again for doing this fundraiser and for the community we have here that have been so generous. I wish I could give so much more!

Thankfully they were already out of town but they had to extend their trip because of the evacuation orders.
