A Sugar and Spice Blog Hop!

A Sugar and Spice Blog Hop!

Today we are having a blog hop full of inspiration to celebrate the new release from Simon Says Stamp, Sugar and Spice! And as part of today’s hop, we have a free gift with purchase:

For my card today, I used the Large Snowflake Cutouts Stencils to make my background, then coated it using some Gina K. Designs Sparkle Gel in Starlight.

If you watch my video from yesterday, I made the snowflake panel during my livestream. I shared some fun cards I had already made and at about the 19 minute mark, I make the background for today’s card. I knew it would not be dry in time to finish during the video, so… today I share the final card.

The Holiday Duo die set is a solid staple to have in your collection. With or without the shadow layer, it’s a very sweet die.

GIVEAWAY DETAILS

Simon Says Stamp is giving away a $25 coupon to every stop on the hop from all of the maker’s comment sections. They’ll choose the winners and post on the Simon Says Stamp blog on Wednesday the 15th of October. Winners will email Simon Says Stamp to claim his/her prize.

  49. Heidi Orndorff says

What a lovely card. The ink color is so beautiful especially with that sparkle. I always enjoy your videos 🙂

  53. Ginger McDonald says

My mind sees this as a modern take on a traditional card. Translation to how my mind works, snowflakes are always perfect for winter or Christmas cards so there is the traditional part and the the slightly cropped circle gives it an updated, sophisticated look. This card would be one to easily do in stages to mass produce. Colors could be tweaked to stave off boredom if one had a lot to make. Die cut a while, stencil a while, glue your sentiment layers together and head to a comfy chair, pop in a Christmas movie and work away with a hot cup of something to sip, before long Christmas cards could be marked off the busy holiday to-do list. THANKS for sharing Cathy, I can always count on you to show me a great card & card layout.

  54. Carol Perry says

Beautiful card Cathy! Love your new products! It’s truly hard sometimes to come up with an inside card saying and I invariably make a mistake when manually writing one and have to cover it up with a new inside panel! Watched your video on replay and it was too much fun!
