Today I’m sharing my unboxing video for the January 2026 Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp called The Small Things. This is a beautiful winter-themed kit and I can’t wait to show you all that I created, so let’s get right to it:
I love tossing in a good bonus card! So… let’s take a look at each card.
For Card One, I had to try out the Crystal Snowflake stencil set, and the coordinating dies. Also, the Pixie Snowflake Embossing Folder is SO good for backgrounds!

For Card Two, I used the wonderful little Snowy Tree die set and some of the Texture Paste. I also love how the Pixie Snowflake Embossing Folder adds that texture to the background.

For Card Three I used the stamp set and the Winter Forest patterned papers to build this sweet scene.

I love the little addition of Rock Candy to his scarf.

For Card Four I used one stamp to create this simple design. It’s a good way to use one stamp—any stamp—to create a repeating pattern.

For Card Five, you really see how beautiful this embossing folder is on metallic cardstock. I did add one little white die cut bow from the Pretty Little Bows Die Set (from my stash) to finish the card.

I also made this accompanying tag:

For the bonus card, I wanted to show another way to use the Snowy Tree dies. I just cut a strip of brown cardstock and trimmed the edge using the Snowy Tree die to match the curve of the tree.

And that wraps up today’s Kit Unboxing. You can find all of the supplies at the bottom of this post.
You can become a subscriber to the Simon Says Stamp Card Kit starting today with the January 2026 kit while supplies last. Click on the image below to subscribe, starting with this kit. Of course, many of the items can be purchased separately and I will have everything linked below in my supply list. But the kit is a tremendous savings. You can cancel at any time and you can skip any month that doesn’t appeal to you! Plus, card kit subscribers get $5 off the kit price.

You can add other products to your kit before it ships if you add by the 15th of the month! This lets you add coordinating dies or other products with no additional shipping fees, beyond the normal fee. I recommend doing all of your add-ons by end of day on the 14th of each month, if you want any in your kit!

Hi there Cathy, just wondering why I can’t watch the video? It says private so was wondering what I have to do. Love the cards you made as usual they are out standing!

Sorry I meant to be asking about the preorder kit with your stamps in not this video. I must of been dreaming because I can’t even find the email about the kit containing your supplies now that you sent. I thought it said live at 10 am.

I loved your cards for this kit! The reindeer card was awesome.
I’m still watching your past videos, but I’m very slow lolol! I also rewind things to make sure I understood how to do certain techniques. Appreciate your hard work. I do a lot of photography and I have always used the same grid concept you use for your designs. Risa K
