Gorgeous die cuts and grounded designs

Today I’m showing you an easy way to ground a large die cut and create a beautiful card. First up, my video tutorial:

You have to try creating a soft grounded base for your die cut intensive designs!

    Wow! These card designs are absolutely gorgeous! The ink blended backgrounds really complement the strawberry images!

    Using the ink blended shape to ground your amazing strawberries is a great idea. I keep a set of stemcils for this purpose in my drawer with my large Altenew sticky mat, but I never think to pull them ouot and use them for grounding. But now, I see the light! Thanks for the inspiration.

    OK-so now I want a bowl of fresh strawberries. These paper ones look almost real! Must start a notebook with your design tips Cathy. I always think I will remember them when I make a card-and then my mind goes blank when I start.

    I usually listen to music while creating cards and I HATE when everything starts sticking to my fingers because of the glue lol! I never tried whispering while I’m putting small globs of glue down…I’ll have to try it! I never thought to “ground” an arrangement but definitely looks great in that sage green color. I will have to do that on my flower cards. Also like the black splatter. Both cards are beautiful!
