Black magic using embossing folders + a blog hop

This is such a fun way to get more use from your embossing folders and can yield really fun and funky results!

    Cathy Z, Your card is stunning !!! The gold metallic butterflies and sentiment just pop off the cardstock. I so agreed with you when you said you don’t know why you don’t use the Black Magic technique more often, it gives such beautiful results. This technique reminds me of the “velvet Paintings” from yester-year (no doubt I just dated myself) The Simon Nocturne Black VersaFine Clair ink is my go to for this technique. I love your new “Missing You” and “Thank You” sentiment die sets, anytime I don’t have to piece a sentiment together is a BIG win,(tittles excluded, they aren’t a big deal to add and line up) I especially love that the actual letters can stand alone as you used them here to make a statement and not get lost but I equally appreciate the shadow layer for other times. I hope you will do more of this type of sentiment letters. Again, Stunning card Cathy Z, that embossing folder was made for your card . . or maybe that should read you made that embossing folder POP !!
