Using my garden as inspiration for the Altenew blog hop card

Using my garden as inspiration for the Altenew blog hop card

Welcome to a blog hop to celebrate the March release from Altenew. Today I’m using a gorgeous die set to try and recreate some magic that shows up in my garden every June.

I am not sure if I matched my garden exactly (you can see a photo in my video!) but I loved creating with these beautiful dies. Here is my tutorial showing how the card came together:

There is a giveaway that is part of today’s blog hop:

  • $300 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $100 gift certificate to 1 lucky winner and a $50 gift certificate to 4 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by March 12th for a chance to win. Altenew will draw 5 random winners from the comments left on each stop of this blog hop and announce the winners on the Altenew’s Blog Hop Post on March 13th, 2026.
  • The winner of the $100 gift certificate will be chosen from comments left on the Altenew blog.

    What a GORGEOUS card, Cathy!
While Altenew makes it so easy to piece the design together, it’s your magic touch of ink blending, placement and the extra boops that makes it sooooo special! Thank you! And, Happy Birthday!

Beautiful. Love the colors on the clematis, especially how you colored the center vein of the flowers. It looks just like the ones in my garden!

You never disappoint with your beautiful cards! Always nice to use the real flowers in our gardens to inspire us. The flowers would look so nice as a decoration on a gift. The stenciled background was just right and did not distract from your clematis flowers.

I have clematis almost this same color in my garden too. One of my favorite plants and they get so big. What a lovely card.
