Spellbinders recently sent me the newly designed Glimmer II Hot Foil System and today I’m sharing my first look and some results from my experiments.

The new design overall is much simpler and more streamlined, but it does the same things as the original Glimmer. Here’s my video:
Other than the One-Go Press Plate not foiling completely (and I LOVE that plate when I use it with the BetterPress!), I really think this is a great improvement upon the older version. As I mentioned in the video, I’m going to be doing the Spellbinders Press & Foil of the Month Club in 2027, to build my foiling confidence! A few years ago, when I shied away from die-heavy sets, I did one year of their Large Die of the Month club, and it really did change my view on die-centric sets!
I do think both of the cards I made from my tests today are fun!

And even just a simple image with foil is so elegant, even with a bit of foil erasing!

If you’ve been thinking of getting into hot foiling, this would be a great system for you.
One thing to note is the machine compatibility, which you can find here at the bottom of the product page.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
