Happy International Scrapbook Day, blog readers. Yes, it’s the one day of the year where we can shirk off EVERY responsibility and celebrate all things scrapbooking. Or something like that.
Actually, as much as I would like to be making stuff today, I’m at an ultimate Frisbee tournament and no where near my craft/dining room. Never fear! I have put together a video that shares my process from computer to page, showing you how I incorporate my tangible crafting elements with a digital beginning.
The video’s a bit long and really, this is the first time I’ve done a tutorial that takes the digital and then shows you what I do with it on my actual desk. Good times, ladies.
Also today, we are celebrating over on the Scrapbook & Cards Today blog! Every hour we’ve got all kinds of crafty goodness from our team, where we are sharing how our readers have inspired us. We also have terrific giveaways from our amazing sponsors! I’ll be sharing my layout (which is nearly identical in design to the page I’m sharing here!) at 3 p.m. EST.
I hope you have time to create something you love today!

You are adorable… I consider myself a little bit of a PS guru, but you showed me a few cool things! Awesome!
What a cute layout! Time to lift it! β€

Love, Love your hybrid page. I mostly do digital either 12×12 or pocket pages, but occasionally I love to throw in a hydrid page. So thanks for sharing.

Thank you, Cathy, you have just revolutionised my scrapbooking with this tutorial. You have managed to explain so simply what I just didn’t “get” with my Silhouette Portrait. And who knew that I could use all those digi templates and brushes I have as cut files?! Thanks for sharing. Oh, and I did buy your cool template π

Loving this adorable layout, wish I had a cut file machine but I can do something similar with some of my circle dies. Maybe longer to complete but well worth the effort. On NSD I mostly watched inspiring videos, like yours, to get my creative juices going, cleaned my scrapbook space and made soup. Heavy rain in our part of Canada today, east coast area. Hope you enjoyed your day.

I remember when I bought my Silhouette, I had a bit of buyer’s remorse. I go through periods of using it, then not. Now, I’m so enamored with manual die cutting! Glad you enjoyed the video.

Thanks so much for the video! I have been hybrid scrapbooking for a long time and your video taught me new things that I didn’t know I could do- Much appreciated!!! I had already bought your template before the video and it was very exciting to make the circles into a cutfile.. I would love to see more hybrid scrapbooking templates- The best of both worlds!

Cool! I know that people use Photoshop in SO many different ways. Happy to show you something new, because by no means am an expert!
